We aim to continue to provide an ambitious and broad curriculum in all subjects.
We have surveyed our parents / carers and the results have provided us with the information to feel confident that the majority of our pupils will be able to access online learning. Some parents have not responded and these will be contacted via a phone call to check what ICT they have available at home. For children who do not have any internet access we will endeavour to get paper packs home to them as we did in the period of lock down between March and July.
We have extensive plans for the provision of remote education where needed and to ensure that the small number of children that need to be educated at home, for example, due to shielding or self-isolation, are given the support they need to continue learning. We are in the process of showing our children in KS1 an KS2 how to use Teams to access lessons as part of their ICT curriculum. We aim to use Teams to set homework once all children have their log in details so that both children and parents can become familiar with the system before the eventuality that it needs to be used.
Remote education, where needed, is of a high quality and aligns as closely as possible with in-school provision.
